Mara's Ice Cream Parlor is a family-owned, novelty ice cream shop. They're undergoing a rebrand and renovation that leans more old-school retro. They wanted a professional yet old school and cozy feel, and especially to be kid friendly. They initially sought out a menu painted on their wall, but because of the nature of the business having seasonal ice cream flavors, I proposed using individual paintings of each menu item for quick and easy changing flavors to create a gallery wall that acts as a functional art piece all together. I went with a sign-painter typeface to create that old school vibe, and designed each menu item from start to finish, for a total of 27 menu items.
